Billy’s Dream

by Tony King (Beautifully Mad)

Beautifully Mad – “Billy’s Dream”

The war was a Movie played backwards

As least it was in Billy’s dream

Bombs were sucked up from their holes in the ground

To the planes where they had once been

Craters were once again schools

Bullets sped back to their guns

Bleeding wounds healed themselves over

And smoke cleared away from the Sun

The bombs were sent back to their factories

Dismantled with all of the planes

The Auschwitz carriages came back full

And they kissed as they stepped off the trains

the soldiers turned back into children

to innocence again. to innocence again

the soldiers turned back into children

to innocence again. to innocence again

The trenches turned back into fields

From Vietnam to El Alamein

And young men rose up clean from the mud

To their lovers arms again

The rubble turned back into churches

Where they sang their Hymns back from Amen

Medals were melted back into one peace

And Enola was gay once again

the soldiers turned back into children

to innocence again. to innocence again

the soldiers turned back into children

to innocence again. to innocence again

And love was returned to the people

Free will taken back from the men

And the apple was put back on the tree

And the garden was Eden again

C: John sees the future in a vision. Satan, the beast, the anti-christ and unbelievers are judged and cast into hell.

O: 1 New heaven and new earth come with no sea.

2 God creates the Holy City and presents it to His people

3 God chooses to live among men. We will be His people, and He our God for all eternity.

4 No more crying, no more pain. God will wipe all that away; it only exists now, while sin still exists.

5 ?Does that mean He is in the process of making all things new?

M: 1-3 When God creates the heavens and the earth, there will no longer be any sea (suffering). As we receive the Holy City as our beautifully dressed bride, even greater is that God Himself chooses to be with men and be with them, be their God. What will it be like to wait for my bride at the altar? The splendor of the Holy City will be as it, if not far greater. I long more often for my wife than for heaven though!

A: Remember the future to come

1. New heaven and new earth, no more sea (suffering).

2 Holy City will be as a beautifully dressed bride to us, the groom

3 Greatest of all, Emmanuel, God with us. Forever.

Father, in You there is no beginning and end. While I only see a portion of time, You see it all at once. Give me more of a longing for heaven and looking forward to the time when fellowship between You and all Your people will be perfect. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

C: Paul is writing to the Ephesians, reminding them of the Gospel, of what they are now in Christ and also how they are reconciled by His sacrifice, not by works so that no man may boast. According to “Know Your Bible”, the 10 word or less summary for Ephesians is “Christians are all members of Jesus’ body.” Christ is the head of the church (Eph. 4:15) and He reconciled all people, both Jews and Gentiles, to Himself. (Eph. 2:11-18)

O: 1-3 We were dead in our sins, followed Satan and lived in disobedience to God.

4-5 God predestined some to be made alive with Christ, not by their works but by His great love.

6-7 Now the church will be seated with Christ so God might show His grace.

8-10 Christians are all saved by grace so that none may boast. We were created for the good works of God, of which He has prepared.

11-13 We who were Gentiles and excluded from citizenship to Israel have now been reconciled through the blood of Jesus.

14-18 Through Jesus we have peace with Him and each other.

19-20 Now Gentiles are able to be reconciled and become God’s people, of which the plan was preached all along through the apostles, prophets of old, and finally Christ Jesus whom is the foundation of the Church.

21-22 And what is the Church? Saved by grace, it is a body made up of forgiven sinners, men, women, children, built on Christ, who was prophecied through the prophets and proclaimed by the apostles, who were the first-hand witnesses to Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.

M: Christians are the family of Christ. Every man and woman and child who follows Christ is my brother, sister, mother, of whom we all share the same Heavenly Father. And this was made possible by Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. “The stones the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.” – Matthew 21:42.

A: Live as a child of God, because that is our new identity through Christ! No longer strangers or aliens, and adopted through the price of the life of God’s only begotten Son.

1. Turn from my wicked ways and follow Jesus.

2. Remember that every Christian is saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, so that I would not boast in myself.

3. Greet, welcome, pray, and love the Church (1 Thessalonians 5:25-26).

I had a dream last night, in which I was speaking to my brother, who has not accepted Christ. No matter how hard I looked, I could never find the scriptures that I was trying to quote when talking to him. I believe this dream is telling me that I need to go back and read God’s word, so I may be able to learn more about Him and also be able to know what to say when I speak to non-believers.

.  I would like to share a dream with you that I had during the night. Before I went to sleep, I asked God if He could tell me what I need to do. The dream goes like this:

.  I was at Rowland High school, going to this one class, I forgot which one it was. These 3 girls from Rowland are also in the same classroom. When we go hangout during break (or was it lunch) The 3 girls would always try and kiss me; they would get really close to my face, like really close. This would go on for a while in my dream, with each and everyday the girls would do the same thing. Eventually one day they were doing the same exact thing, when someone bumped into either me or the girl (I don’t remember) and the playful, taunting kiss became a real kiss when it fell on my lips. Nearing the end of my dream I would begin longing to see her everyday so that I could kiss her again. I had this great feeling of love for her. Then somewhere here I woke up and my dream ended.

.  I don’t know if this dream was from God or not, but here is my interpretation; During life we will become tempted with many things: wealth, fame, and women. These temptations will always be here around us, and it is up to us to stay away from these temptations, or else, like I was in the dream, after I enjoyed that moment of sin I continuously longed for more of it. We would gradually be pulled into the sin, and fall away from living our lives for God. If this was a dream from God, then he is warning me to stay away from temptation, in this case, women. If this was a real event in life, would I be like the Joshua in the dream and to continuously brush lightly against sin, eventually to the point where I was indulging in the sin. Or would I be able to push the temptation away, to not even get near the source of temptation? I pray God would give me the strength to always fight against temptations of the world.

.  To not sin at all is to first get rid of all sources of temptations to sin.

.  Hope you guys had an interesting read! When I dream, I see myself from a third person view. In my dreams, I have no control, I just see what the me in the dream does. Sometimes he does what is right, others he is not the person that I would ever imagine myself to be. From now on when I have a dream, I will have my voice recorder nearby so I can record everything while it is fresh in my mind. Now onto my devotions!
