Got to spend time with my brother using the Swedish Method  http://matthiasmedia.com/briefing/2009/01/the-swedish-method/ to study the Bible. He also shared about his evangelism experiences, refreshing news to me.

The Swedish Method

O ~ A light bulb: This should be something that ‘shines’ from the passage—whatever impacts most, or draws attention.

? ~ A question mark: Anything that is difficult to understand in the text, or a question the reader would like to ask the writer of the passage or the Lord.
-> ~ An arrow: A personal application for the reader’s life.

***Passage: 2 Corinthians 11:1-6

v 1 O Paul is able to be jealous for the church in Corinth, that his brothers and sisters may be presented to God as pure.

5 O “Super-apostles”, people who spoke eloquently and able to work up the crowd, yet seems to disregard the truth of the Word. These guys were criticizing Paul for being an un-eloquent speaker.

1 ? What is Paul’s foolishness? – It seems to be his rebuke of the Corinthian church and the false prophets, especially in Ch 10.

4 ? Jesus other than the one I received? Spirit? Gospel? – Anything different from the Bible.

3 -> Our devotion to Christ should be sincere and pure. “Simple.”

6 -> We need to read the Bible to solidify our faith.
