“Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.”

“I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” – Psalm 27:3, 13-14

King David, though he was surrounded by the enemy and always in a life and death situation, he was still confident in the Lord. Though many times in depression it seems as if there is nothing more good to be found in this life, God is still good and He will show Himself faithful. As David puts it, he will definitely see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

And through all this, I will wait for the Lord. In the meantime, I will continue to try and be strong and take heart, because God will answer.

Lord, I’m scared for the future, even for now. School brings much stress, and so does the many problems in my life. Please, allow me to be confident in You, that You will always give strength to those who trust in You. Lord, I want to be confident in You! Please give me the courage to speak Your praises to the people I meet, for You alone are most worthy of praise! Thank You Father for saving me, for Your grace and the peace that passes all understanding.
