“Each of you must make up your own mind about how much to give. But don’t feel sorry that you must give and don’t feel that you are forced to give. God loves people who love to give. God can bless you with everything you need, and you will always have more than enough to do all kinds of good things for others.”

– 2 Corinthians 9:7-8

How much are we willing to sacrifice for our God, Who has sacrificed everything for us? That decision is up to us, and whether we give little or a lot, just remember that we are merely returning back to God what is His in the first place or using it for His glory; when we understand this, giving becomes a joy! God will always provide for His servants. God has given us many ways to bless others besides material things; God has made you! Become the blessing for others!

“money is God’s gift to us.”

“Of Thine own have we given Thee.”

– We offer God back His own!

“But you say: “I earn my money by the sweat of my brow.” Granted; but “thou shalt remember the Lord thy God; for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth.” It is God who enables us to keep our situations; who delivers us from paralysing disease, maintains the balance of reason, and renews our daily strength.”

– Who is the One that has gifted us with the many talents and abilities we have? Who is the One who gives us rest, Who created our hands, our feet, us? God did; not by our strength are we then strong, but it is by God’s grace that we are given strength to live; therefore, we should be asking God “What do you want me to do with this life You’ve given to me?” Thank God!

“It is our duty to provide for our own (1Timothy 5:8).”

If we do not provide for our own family, what testimony are we to non-believers? Love your family, honor your parents; be the example for those around you.

“In order to guard against the love of money, we should be careful to give a stated proportion to the cause of Christ.”

“In the first place, give your own selves to Christ, and then all else will fall into line (2Corinthians 8:5).

When we truely live our lives to Christ, everything does fall into place; in seeking Christ we will become more like Him; giving comes naturally!
