“For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith. For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void.” – Romans 4:13-14

– Abraham was blessed not because he kept the laws, but because he was faithful to God. If by following the law we can be saved, then the faith we have in Jesus would be unnecessary.

“Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the norht and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

-Genesis 28:14

– “When God made these promises to Abraham, the law was still hundreds of years from being revealed.”

– Circumcision came after Abraham heard the promise and believed, not before.

Abraham was righteous because he believed in God’s promise. (Romans 4:3)

We cannot be saved through works or the law, but only by Faith in Jesus. Pray that God would remove your concepts of religion and replace it with Faith, and only Faith, in His Son Christ Jesus.
