John Ch 10 V 14-30

14“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

19At these words the Jews were again divided. 20Many of them said, “He is demon-possessed and raving mad. Why listen to him?”

21But others said, “These are not the sayings of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”

22Then came the Feast of Dedication[b] at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23and Jesus was in the temple area walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. 24The Jews gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ,[c] tell us plainly.”

25Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father’s name speak for me, 26but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[d]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one.”

.  Jesus knows who his believers are, and if not already, we will one day come to know Him. God knows Jesus, and that Jesus will lay down His life for us. There are many other non-believers that still do not know Christ, but we need to, with God’s help, bring them back to God. Those who get to know Jesus will listen Him and follow Him, and we shall be as one group of fellow believers of Christ. God sent Jesus to not only die on the cross for our sins, but to also conquer death by resurrection. No one is giving Jesus death, but He gave it of His own accord. He is able to die, and rise up again because He is God, this is the task God has placed before Jesus. When we hear Jesus’ words, we will be divided into two; those who believe Jesus and those who don’t accept Him.

.  While Jesus was still on earth, there were many who tried to trick Him, ensnare them into their trap to have Him convicted while there were a large number of witnesses. Jesus has always been telling us He is the Christ, and yet many do not believe. Everything Jesus has done was for God’s glory and intentions, but the people who do not believe cannot understand because they did not accept Jesus as the messiah. The ones who believe in Jesus will listen and follow Jesus and only Jesus; He gives us eternal life, and after we have accepted Him into our hearts, no one can take them away from Jesus. There is none greater than the God of the universe, and Jesus and God are one.
