John Ch 7 V 14-24

14Not until halfway through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach. 15The Jews were amazed and asked, “How did this man get such learning without having studied?”

16Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. 17If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. 18He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. 19Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”

20“You are demon-possessed,” the crowd answered. “Who is trying to kill you?”

21Jesus said to them, “I did one miracle, and you are all astonished. 22Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a child on the Sabbath. 23Now if a child can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing the whole man on the Sabbath? 24Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment.”

.  Men are amazed at what Jesus does and say, but wonder how He is able to do all of this without having studied their knowledge. When we glorify God through our actions, we will be different. The things we teach and accomplish will not be for ourselves, but for God. When we trust in God’s will and accept Jesus, we will know He is real through the Holy Spirit and just how amazing this love for God is. Those of us who live to glorify God will be full of the truth, God’s love. Jesus even told the Jews they were going to kill Him, yet they denied it.

.  Men are so amazed at the power of God, yet they have placed themselves under false laws, bounded to them. If they have to follow the law so strictly to even go as far to skip the day spent praising God, why are the men so angry when Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath? Men follow so many false laws of the false prophets, that they fail to realize that all anyone needs for salvation is Jesus. All we have to do is accept Jesus as our savior, that He died for our sins. And also we are still so undeserving of God’s grace, just the magnitude of love Jesus has for us if He is able to endure all that pain, torture, and death, just so we, the sinful people, can be saved through Him. Do not give judgement based on what your law tells you to do, but according to the evidence and truth being set forth in front of you. The Jews wanted to kill Jesus because He healed a man on the Sabbath day, a law the false prophets created.
