1 Peter Ch 2 Verses 1-3

1Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. 2Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

.   After we have accepted Jesus, we should begin to work toward changing our heart to be more loving toward everyone, believers or non-believers. We are also working on toward reading the bible daily, so that doing devotions is not a chore but a privilege, that we may grow spiritually and also mentally, now that we have seen and felt God’s love toward us! God wants us to love others just like He has loved us, unconditionally. No matter who the person is or what he or she is like, they were also created by the same Father in heaven, and God wants us to remember that. Now that we have accepted Him, He commands us to read His word, so that we may know more about Him and more on the purpose of our lives, what we should do.
